Bravado Body Silk Seamless Nursing Bra

March 8, 2017

Over four years into nursing and I finally went to the fancy birth center boutique and was fitted for a bra. Up until that moment, I had spent less than $100 on many, many awful bras. They pilled, they dropped, they gave me uni-boob, they showed too much nipple, they had too much padding, they dug in under the straps- the list goes on and on. However, they all had one thing in common: they ended up in the garbage.

I am always so afraid to spend money on myself but as I walked into the store, I thought to myself, “I am finally going to bite the bullet and spend $50 on a bra that actually fits.”
The attendant brought me several different styles and I painfully tried on each one. Then I found THE ONE. The Bravado women’s body silk seamless nursing bra. It was so comfortable, I almost felt like I wasn’t wearing a bra. There was padding to stop the leaks, but not too much. The straps didn’t dig in and the material was silky smooth plus super supportive, without being restrictive.

I hesitantly pulled my shirt over the bra. Wow! I glanced in the mirror and I looked perky, fun and so unlike the straggly, exhausted mother who had walked in. I couldn’t stop smiling. Is it weird that a bra made me that happy? I don’t care- I bought one in purple and another in grey, resigned to buy a nude one online and walked out a happy shopper. Eighteen months later, those bras are still my go to. In fact, I might even continue to wear them when I’m done nursing…that’s what I call a wonder bra.
